Local Housing Officer Location: Wembley Chalk Hill Estate Rate of pay: 29.12 per hour (Umbrella) Job Type: Temp rolling contract (37.5hrs per week) We are seeking a dedicated Local Housing Officer to join a housing association. The role involves managing and coordinating housing and estate services within a specific area, ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets the diverse needs of our customers. Day to Day of the role: Manage and coordinate housing and estate services within a defined geographical area. Be accountable and customer-facing, representing our values across all tenures. Coordinate internal and external services to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Deliver services that meet individual and local needs to a high standard. Participate in local initiatives to support community projects, which may occasionally involve weekend work. Seek continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction. Manage relationships with the Local Authority and other Housing Association partners. Act as the point of contact for customer complaints, estate services, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement, and lettings management. Required Skills & Qualifications: Essential experience within a Housing Management / Senior Housing Officer role Essential car user (driving licence and own vehicle) Proven experience in a social housing setting Good working knowledge of housing practice, housing law, and service charge management principles. Demonstrable values of care, dare, and collaboration. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment. Strong collaboration, networking, and team-playing skills. Experience dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds with complex or challenging needs. Excellent administration skills and the ability to analyse customer feedback for service improvements.
