Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their established Pre-Construction team based in Birmingham. The Role As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction function, supporting the preparation of competitive and profitable tenders for a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with commercial, design, planning, and operational teams, you will help develop accurate cost plans, identify opportunities to add value, and effectively manage risk throughout the tendering process. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to major construction projects while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects. Analyse project documentation, specifications, drawings, and scope requirements to develop robust pricing strategies. Identify and mitigate commercial and delivery risks whilst maximising profitability. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners throughout the tender process. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating competitive rates and favourable commercial terms. Support value engineering initiatives to deliver cost-effective and innovative solutions. Collaborate closely with design, planning, commercial, and operational teams to ensure coordinated bid submissions.
