Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Alternative Provision) Location: Titan Education Trust Salary: TBC Contract: Full-time Start Date: October 2026 Introduction Titan Education Trust is committed to delivering inclusive, high-quality education for students who require an alternative to mainstream schooling. Our Alternative Provision supports learners with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, enabling them to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to an individual student with identified additional needs. Purpose of the Role The 1:1 Teaching Assistant will work closely with a named student to support their access to learning, engagement in lessons, and personal development. The role requires patience, consistency, and the ability to build a trusting, professional relationship that promotes positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 support to a designated student, both in and out of the classroom Support the student to access the curriculum by adapting tasks and resources as directed by the teacher Implement strategies to support behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement Assist in the delivery of individual learning plans (ILPs), EHCP targets, or behaviour support plans Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and wellbeing, reporting to the class teacher and SENCo Promote independence, confidence, and resilience in the student Support transitions throughout the school day to ensure consistency and safety Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of students at all times Application Process Applicants should submit a completed application form and a supporting statement outlining their suitability for the role.
