Job Description
We are seeking an organised and details-focused
Data Administration Assistant to join our team at Cove School. Working under
the direction of our Data Manager you will support the accurate and timely
administration of pupil, assessment and school data. We are looking to appoint a colleague who will: Accurately
input, update and maintain pupil and assessment data within Arbor and other
school systems Produce,
download, check and distribute reports and data outputs as required Support
the administration of assessment cycles, including preparing mark sheets,
assessment templates, target data and reports Assist
with the analysis and checking of assessment, examination and progress data,
ensuring information is accurate before circulation Monitor
data submissions from teaching staff and follow up on outstanding information
to ensure deadlines are met Maintain
accurate records relating to KS3 and KS4 assessment, vulnerable groups and
other key pupil information Support
the production, collation and distribution of pupil reports and interim grades Assist
with school admissions, including updating Arbor, creating pupil records,
maintaining contact details and supporting new-starter and leaver processes Process
changes to classes, rooms, timetable, interventions and extra-curricular
activity Support
maintaining accurate records for pupils attending alternative provision, dual
registration or reduced timetables. Support
the administration of pastoral systems within the school to support character
education Support
the transfer of pupil information and CTFs to receiving schools. Assist
with the school census and other statutory returns, working under the guidance
of the Data Manager Maintain
and update FSM information using Hampshire OFSM and process parent updates
through the Arbor Parent App Support
data checking exercises and ensure information is handled securely and in
accordance with GDPR and school policies Maintain
the school firebox and undertake other administrative duties relating to pupil
data as required The
successful candidate will: Be confident working
collaboratively with a range of teams and staff and be able to respond to ad
hoc requests from SLT and teachers in a timely manner Have excellent
ICT skills, particularly within Excel and have the ability to learn and
use new systems effectively Have strong
attention to detail Understand the
importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive information Keep abreast
of current guidance, requirement and good practice in relation to target
setting and the effective use of data Be able to use
initiative and to work without supervision to meet deadlines while coping
with frequent interruptions Have
experience of producing statistical analysis (desirable not essential) Willing to
cover any other duties as required Actively safeguard and promote the
welfare of all children Adhere to all school policies,
procedures and safeguarding requirements Experience working within a school environment would
be advantageous but not essential.
