The Company: GDS Partners is recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of a growing Mechanical & Electrical Contractor delivering a varied portfolio of projects across the Midlands. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking to strengthen their Health & Safety team with an experienced and proactive professional. The is a multi site role will involve supporting multiple projects across the region. The Role: The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, site management and subcontractors to ensure high standards of Health & Safety are maintained across all projects. This is a site-focused position offering good variety and the opportunity to join a contractor with ambitious plans for continued growth. Key Responsibilities Carry out regular site inspections, audits and Health & Safety reviews. Review and assist with the preparation of RAMS and safe systems of work. Ensure projects comply with company procedures and current UK Health & Safety legislation. Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to project and site teams. Monitor subcontractor compliance and promote safe working practices. Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations. Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings where required. Maintain appropriate Health & Safety documentation and reporting. Work with management to identify areas for improvement and promote a positive safety culture. Support multiple projects across the Midlands as required. Requirements: Previous Health & Safety experience within the construction industry. Experience within M&E / building services would be advantageous. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction site requirements. Experience with RAMS, site inspections, audits and contractor management. Strong communication skills with the ability
