The Role: As a Fitter / Tool Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that a wide range of hire equipment and power tools are maintained to the highest standards. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and ensuring that customers receive reliable and fully tested products. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, test, and assess returned equipment to identify any faults or maintenance needs. Perform fault finding, servicing, and repairs on various tools and equipment. Prepare equipment meticulously for the next hire, ensuring it meets all safety standards. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Complete service and repair documentation with accuracy. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Support stock control of spare parts and consumables. Collaborate with depot colleagues to guarantee excellent customer service and equipment availability. Identify equipment that requires specialist repairs or replacement. Candidate Requirements: Essential: Previous experience in repairing, servicing, or maintaining tools and hire equipment. Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
