Quantity Surveyor Location: Reading Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 + Excellent Benefits Job Type: Full-Time Permanent PPM Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established and growing construction contractor that is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor at its Reading office . This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to work on a diverse portfolio of high-quality projects across the stadia, hospitality, commercial, retail, leisure and specialist residential sectors , with project values ranging up to 50 million . The Role As Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of projects from pre-construction and procurement through to final account . Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and operational teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably while maintaining strong commercial and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account. Preparing cost plans, estimates, budgets and financial forecasts. Reviewing tenders and supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. Managing subcontractor procurement and competitive tender processes. Administering contracts, valuations, variations and payment applications. Monitoring project costs, cash flow, margins and overall financial performance. Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Preparing and agreeing variations and change orders. Managing subcontract accounts and resolving commercial issues.
