Owen Reed is looking for two experienced Facilities Supervisors to support the day-to-day running of facilities across multiple offices. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will supervise local facilities teams and help deliver an efficient, effective and cost-conscious building and facilities service across the firm. This opportunity would suit a proactive team player with essential soft services experience, strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise local facilities teams, ensuring adequate staffing and the timely delivery of day-to-day services. Visit your allocated sites regularly, carrying out comprehensive checks to ensure offices, equipment and communal facilities remain clean, tidy and well maintained. Support the Facilities Managers with the delivery and implementation of life cycle maintenance provisions. Resolve day-to-day facilities issues, escalating matters to the Facilities Manager or Facilities Director where appropriate. Coordinate and oversee contractors, ensuring work is completed satisfactorily and on time. Work with Facilities Supervisors at other locations to maintain consistent services and consumables across all offices. Support energy management, carbon reduction and environmental initiatives in line with firm policies and relevant legislation. Manage building and property service procedures, service level agreements, tenant issues and project works as directed. Act as a key facilities contact for staff at your base locations and handle location issues in the Facilities Managers’ absence. Produce regular and ad hoc management reports, including occupancy levels, van usage and consumables expenditure. Maintain current knowledge of facilities technologies, strategies and legislation to support service improvements and advise on future developments. Apply health and safety procedures, undertake general and fire risk assessments as directed, and participate in the Health and Safety Committee if required. Represent the Facilities Department professionally and provide cover at other firm locations when required. Help implement and continuously improve the facilities management strategy, delivering high-quality, cost-effective services within agreed budgets. Approve invoices promptly within delegated authority limits and forward them to Accounts for payment. Skills and Experience Experience in a similar facilities role or environment, ideally across multiple sites. Essential experience in soft services. Strong teamworking and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate daily operations. Essential knowledge of health, safety and welfare regulations. IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications would be desirable. A driving licence and the ability to travel regularly between office locations.
