Accounts Assistant

Location: Cardiff (Fully Site-Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: 27,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who is looking to further develop their skills and build a long-term career within finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, checking, and coding invoices
• Assisting with payment runs and supplier statements
• Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries
• Supporting sales ledger and invoicing activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records and account information
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments regarding account queries
• General finance administration duties as required

About You

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, or similar role
• Good understanding of purchase ledger and invoicing processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work
• Eager to learn, develop new skills, and progress within a finance career
