About This Role Locations available: London As a graduate on the EDC team, our graduates will gain experience across a wide range of skills and experiences. We have a variety of different service lines within our EDC team that will help you in developing a strong, all-round engineering mindset as you progress through your concurrent professional and academic journey. Throughout the graduate scheme you will be taught, and put into practice, engineering skills which will be key for an engineer role at Savills EDC. You will have a varied range of experience including undertaking site surveys for dilapidations, designing MEP systems using modern 2D and 3D software, attending client meetings and presenting options and solutions to the project stakeholders or undertaking report and specification writing. The breadth of experience that a Savills graduates obtain is second to none and the pathway will help to provide a holistic scope across the implementation of high efficient engineering services in new and existing buildings. How You’ll Make An Impact You will very much be a part of a team of engineers striving towards collective engineering excellence. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of technical and non-technical tasks including: Provide input on design strategy and conceptual designs. Undertake design calculations. Undertake site inspections and understand its challenges Design installations to meet all existing, relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant standards. Design installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements. Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements. Provide assistance and support to other members of the engineering team within the office including vertical transportation, security, intelligent buildings, BACS, etc. Commit to supporting strategic sustainability policies and our internal environmental programme objectives. Commit to achieving Chartered Engineer status through relevant professional institution. Familiarise and learn about sustainable low energy initiatives and to share this with other members of your team and wider within the Partnership.
