We are seeking two reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Cleaners to join our dedicated site team. These roles are essential in helping us provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. About the Role As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school. You will work as part of a friendly team to ensure classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas are clean, safe and ready for use each day. Main Duties and Responsibilities • Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas. • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors. • Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures and fittings. • Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately. • Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels. • Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly. • Report any maintenance concerns, damages or health and safety issues. • Follow all school health and safety procedures and cleaning schedules. • Assist with deep cleaning during holiday periods when required. Person Specification Essential Criteria • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy. • Good attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and use initiative. • Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene standards. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. • Ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role. Desirable Criteria • Previous cleaning experience in a school, commercial or public setting. • Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning products. • Understanding of health and safety procedures. • Basic knowledge of COSHH regulation Closing Date : 9am on Friday 2nd October
