About This Role Locations available: London Throughout your placement will be taught, and put into practice, engineering skills which will be key for an engineer role at Savills EDC. You will have a varied range of experience including undertaking site surveys for dilapidations, designing MEP systems using modern 2D and 3D software, attending client meetings and presenting options and solutions to the project stakeholders or undertaking report and specification writing. How You’ll Make An Impact You will very much be a part of a team of engineers striving towards collective engineering excellence. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of technical and non-technical tasks including: Provide input on design strategy and conceptual designs. Undertake design calculations. Undertake site inspections and understand its challenges Design installations to meet all existing, relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant standards. Design installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements. Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements. Provide assistance and support to other members of the engineering team within the office including vertical transportation, security, intelligent buildings, BACS, etc. Commit to supporting strategic sustainability policies and our internal environmental programme objectives. Familiarise and learn about sustainable low energy initiatives and to share this with other members of your team and wider within the Partnership. Future Talent Objectives Technical & Professional Knowledge - Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of the profession you are training within, the qualification you are completing, and the role you are undertaking. Enrol and begin active progress towards your qualification, understanding the competencies/KSBs required and maintain an up-to-date record of experience Complete all required induction training (including mandatory training on MyLearning) Business Awareness – Asks good relevant questions, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm to know about the business.
