Your new company I am currently working with a well-established organisation within the housing and property services sector, and they are seeking a reliable and proactive Stores Person to join their team on a 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with stores, warehouse and administration experience to support a busy operational environment and play a key role in maintaining an efficient repairs and maintenance service. Your new role As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation and administration of a busy stores function, ensuring materials, equipment, and stock are available to operational teams when required. You will undertake deliveries, assist with stock management, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a well-organised and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to operational teams Assist with goods-in activities, stock control, picking, loading, and stores operations. Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory management processes Ensure the stores environment is organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards. Use planning and scheduling systems to receive and complete allocated work. Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams and members of the public. Report any health and safety concerns and contribute to a positive safety culture. Support the efficient delivery of repairs and maintenance services through effective stock availability and distribution. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will possess: Full, clean UK driving licence. Experience working within a stores, warehouse, logistics, labouring, or stock control environment. Experience maintaining accurate stock records and inventory information. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Good digital literacy, including the use of mobile devices, email, and Microsoft applications. Awareness of health and safety requirements. Manual handling experience or relevant training certification. A proactive, team-focused approach with a strong work ethic.
