Naughton Contracts Limited (NCL) Health & Safety Advisor Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire - (with travel across UK projects) Naughton Contracts Ltd is a young, ambitious civil engineering company delivering groundworks, earthworks, basements, site set-up and enabling, and civil engineering solutions across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Including major data centre developments. We're looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support our UK project sites, helping us maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across all our operations. About the Role As H&S Advisor, you'll provide on-the-ground health and safety support across our UK sites, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure safe systems of work are followed, risks are identified and controlled, and our high standards are maintained on every project. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across groundworks, earthworks, basements, civil engineering, and site set-up/enabling projects. Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry standards. Support the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and support the preparation of reports and corrective action plans. Review and advise on risk assessments, method statements (RAMs), and safe systems of work. Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement. Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation in line with company management systems. Support the wider H&S team in preparing for audits and accreditations (e.g. ISO 45001).
