What You'll Be Doing As Chargehand, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and utility projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and motivating a team of up to 6 operatives Supervising civils activities including kerbing, drainage works, excavations, and hand-laid tarmac Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and site resources Delivering daily site briefings and maintaining accurate records Ensuring full compliance with RAMS and health & safety procedures Reading and interpreting utility drawings and construction plans Acting as the on-site point of contact for colleagues, clients, and members of the public What We're Looking For You'll be a practical, proactive leader who can get the best out of a team while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
