Hours: 32.5 hours per week (16.25 hours SALT TA band 4, 16.25 hours SEN TA band 3), term time plus 5 additional days Salary: Band 3-4 (£20,089 per annum) Contract: Permanent Do you have a passion for helping children find their voice and develop the confidence to communicate? Bishop's Primary School is looking for a dedicated Speech, Language and SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary team and provide targeted support to pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children’s learning, confidence and development. Working alongside teaching staff, you will deliver personalised programmes designed to help pupils overcome barriers to communication and access their learning. We are looking for someone who is warm, understanding and calm, with strong communication and listening skills. You will need to be able to work independently and use your initiative, while also being a positive and collaborative member of the wider school team. This role is split into two positions, with 16.25 hours dedicated to the Speech and Language role, and 16.25 hours for the SEN Teaching Assistant role. Main Roles and Responsibilities Plan, deliver and evaluate individualised programmes of support for children to develop their speech, language and communication skills Liaise with teachers, other support assistants and NCEA SLT about the needs and progress of children receiving support Be aware and support differences and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop Monitor, record and assess the development of the children and discuss any concerns with the teacher Support the children's social and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable in the learning environment Why Join Us?
