L2 Teaching Assistant

Position Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant Profile: 1.2 Learning Support Temporary fixed term contract until 31.8.2027 Weekly hours: 18 G01 SCP 03-04 £25,614-£26,016 18 hours for 38 weeks is £10,443.80 Employment Start Date: 12.10.2026 The governors of St Mary's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint one Level 2 teaching assistant to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidates will play a key part in assisting in the delivery of an exciting curriculum for 18 hours per week. The ideal candidate will: • Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting • Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs. • Be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour • Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being of the children is given the highest priority • Be supportive of our Catholic ethos, mission and values Candidates must complete the CES application form (not the Flintshire form) and read the Notes for Applicants.
