School receptionist (Key Time Thursday/Friday) Salary: Hay 12 (£26,427 pro rata) Contract: 15 hours per week, term time only. Thursday & Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. This is a fixed term post for 12 months. Start date: As soon as possible / October 2026 Join our specialist team Warmley Park School are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our busy school. Warmley Park School and College is a South Gloucestershire maintained special school. It is a nurturing environment for pupils with a broad range of SEND needs whose ages range from 2 to 19. The School provides for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The Role As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring our school runs smoothly. Your duties will include: Greeting and assisting visitors, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed to the highest of standards Handling phone calls and emails, providing excellent communication and customer service Managing the schools Management Information System - Arbor (including supporting attendance records and issuing correspondence) Supporting administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and scheduling appointments Assisting staff and students with general enquiries Organising and distributing office and deliveries. About You We’re looking for a warm, approachable, and highly organised team player who thrives in a busy environment. You should have: A minimum of 3 GCSEs at 4/C grade or above, including English and Maths Previous experience in a receptionist/administrative role (school experience desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and Arbor experience beneficial) A positive and patient attitude with a good sense of humour. Ability to adapt and work calmly in a busy, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
