Job Description: National Grid Mechanical Fitter with Roto - Walpole PE14. Active (Pathways) Solutions is looking for a hardworking, experienced Mechanical Fitter with Roto Telehandler with National Grid Persons to work on substation project in Walpole. Monday - Friday, 45/50 hours per week. Role: Mechanical Fitter Location: Walpole, PE14. Duration: Until end of October Pay rate: £300 - £350p/day - depending on location. Payment: LTD or CIS Must have previous experience working on substations would be ideal. Duties and responsibilities of the role Carrying out mechanical fixing and installation work on site Operating Roto Telehandler Installing, assembling and positioning mechanical components and equipment Reading and working from drawings, plans and specifications Using hand and power tools safely and effectively Assisting with the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems Working alongside other trades and site teams Following site health and safety procedures at all times Keeping work areas safe, clean and tidy Following instructions from the Site Manager and supervisors Skills and attributes (desirable) We are looking for someone who is an excellent team worker and familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures. You must be able to follow written and spoken instructions and be capable of working with minimal oversight while following directions closely. Valid CSCS card IPAF and/or NPORS certification would be desirable Previous experience as a Mechanical Fixer Experience working on substations would be highly desirable Good understanding of construction site health and safety Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Reliable, punctual and hardworking Flexibility to work across different locations in Scotland About you You must have relevant mechanical fixing experience and be able to provide references.
