Our client, a reputable organisation within the criminal law sector, is seeking an established Temporary Legal Secretary to join their team in the heart of Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment and support vital administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Temporary Legal Secretary, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Audio Typing: Proficiently transcribing audio recordings using a Philips dictaphone machine and foot pedal.


• Document Management: Photocopying and filing important legal documents with precision and care.


• Communication: Answering phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and legal professionals.


• Administrative Support: Assisting with various administrative tasks as needed to ensure the office operates efficiently.

What Our Client Is Looking For:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• Experience in Criminal Law: A solid background in criminal law is essential to navigate the unique challenges of this sector effectively.


• Audio Typing Skills: Strong proficiency in audio typing, particularly with the Philips dictaphone machine, is required.


• Organisational Abilities: Exceptional organisational skills to manage documents and tasks efficiently.


• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.


• Immediate Availability: The organisation is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible, so timely availability is crucial.
