SEN Teaching Assistant - Redbridge Do you have previous experience working in an SEN setting and want a role where you can make a genuine difference? Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Redbridge, East London Contract: Full-time, long-term until July 2027 Start Date: 2nd November 2026 Pay: £92 - £120 per day About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Redbridge, you will provide tailored support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning, communication, behaviour or development. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you'll help pupils overcome barriers to learning while encouraging their confidence, independence and engagement. Previous experience working in an SEN setting is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small-group support. Help pupils access classroom learning and activities. Adapt support around individual needs. Encourage communication, confidence and independence. Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils. Help maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment. Follow safeguarding and school policies. Candidate Requirements Previous experience in an SEN setting is essential . Experience supporting children with additional needs. Patient, caring and resilient approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to adapt your approach to individual pupils. Confident working independently and as part of a team. Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply. What Academics Offer £92 - £120 per day, depending on experience. Full-time contract from 2nd November until July 2027.
