Teacher/Flexible Cover Teacher

ROLE PURPOSE Provide high-quality teaching and learning across the school, undertaking class teaching and cover as required —short term and longer term — across different year groups according to need. Teach, assess, mark and adapt learning Maintain behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding Collaborate across year groups and phases Communicate effectively when taking over and handing back classes Contribute to events, enrichment and the school ethos Attend meetings, develop practice and uphold professional standards WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential Experience with children in an educational setting and leading whole-class learning Good understanding of primary education; strong literacy and numeracy QTS or appropriate experience for an unqualified appointment Confident across year groups; strong behaviour management and communication Able to plan, assess, adapt, collaborate and exercise professional judgement Positive, resilient, reflective and committed to safeguarding Desirable Teaching across more than one year group Longer-term class cover experience HLTA, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher experience Knowledge of the primary curriculum Support for children with additional needs Relevant professional development Commitment to progressing towards QTS, where appropriate VISIT US We strongly encourage prospective applicants to visit Moulton Primary School, meet the team and learn more about the role.
