As a Science Technician at Chellaston Academy, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of outstanding science education by ensuring that practical lessons are well-prepared, safe, and engaging. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and laboratory resources, helping to create a stimulating learning environment where students can develop their scientific knowledge and skills. This is a varied and hands-on role that requires excellent organisation, a commitment to health and safety, and a proactive approach to supporting both staff and students. Who we're looking for We are looking for a well-organised, practical and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting learning and helping young people succeed. You will have experience of working in a science laboratory environment, a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a flexible approach are essential, along with a commitment to the values of inclusion, integrity, care and excellence that underpin everything we do.
