Job Description
We are looking for a Community Connector (Volunteer) to help bring people together, raise awareness, and help grow local autism support across Wales. This role will help strengthen existing branches and support the development of new groups where there is currently no provision. What you will be doing Deliver “Understanding Autism” talks PowerPoint presentations to community organisations, local services, schools ,and local businesses. Share clear, accessible information about autism and the work of the National Autistic Society Help communities understand how they can better support autistic people and their families Encourage connection between individuals, families, schools, businesses, and local services Identify areas where there is little or no support and help explore opportunities to develop new branches or community groups Provide brief feedback SBVEO after each session, including attendance numbers and key themes and questions raised Distribute surveys with QR codes after each session Please note: All organisations hosting talks will be expected to provide their own IT equipment (such as a laptop, projector, and speakers where needed). Work with branch volunteers and the national team to strengthen local engagement across Wales
