Temporary Music Administrator c.£15p/h + holiday pay ASAP start until 15th Nov. (potential extension to 9th Dec.) Office based - central London 7-MAW/LW About the Client: One of VWA's clients, a leading school in central London, is looking for a Music Administrator to join their Music Department on a temporary basis, covering a leave of absence. This is a great opportunity for someone with some basic admin experience to get stuck into a busy, varied role. About the Role: This is a hands-on administrative role supporting the Music Department Manager and the wider department with the day-to-day running of a busy and varied music programme. Previous experience in a music setting is not essential - the client is simply looking for someone switched on, organised and happy to get stuck in. The responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Providing general administrative support to the Music Department Manager Taking and publishing minutes from the weekly departmental meeting, and managing the Music Library Responding to departmental enquiries, including phone calls and a shared inbox Supporting the events diary and liaising with other departments on event planning and logistics Creating publications, such as handbooks, timetables, rehearsal schedules and concert programmes Coordinating instrumental ensembles, including maintaining the music database and attendance records Supporting the organisation of concerts and events, both in-house and at external venues Coordinating music exams Acting as first point of contact for the Choral Society Candidate Specification: Some basic administrative experience essential Music experience is not essential, but candidates should be switched on and keen to learn Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with staff, pupils, parents and external suppliers Ability to manage a varied workload and juggle multiple priorities Positive, proactive attitude and happy to get stuck in Additional Information: This is a temporary role with an ASAP start, running until 15th November 2026, with the possibility of extension to the end of term (9th December 2026) This is a term-time only role - the successful candidate will not be required during the October half-term (19th - 30th October inclusive) Hourly rate of c.£15 + holiday pay Fully on-site, based in central London If you're immediately available and looking to gain administrative experience within a prestigious educational setting, apply today!
