Estate Services Operative (Cleaning) Location: Various estates within the designated area CV37 Contract Type: Temporary, Part Time - 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday - Friday Hourly Rate: 13.92 Start Date: August 24th 2026 End Date: November 13th 2026 Key Responsibilities: Provide a high standard cleaning service to communal areas, including lifts, stairwells, floors, walls, and windows. Maintain clear and tidy refuse areas, ensuring compliance with specific cleaning specifications and standards. Conduct litter picking and remove bulk rubbish/fly tipping, including managing hazardous substances to uphold visual and safety standards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and machinery safely, reporting any faults or incidents to the Senior Estate Services Operative. Comply with all health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and COSHH regulations. Assist in snow clearance, gritting, and minor repairs in communal areas. Responsible for managing and reporting cleaning materials and equipment. Utilise scheduling software to manage and record daily activities. Participate in the Out of Hours Rota and carry out other reasonable duties as directed. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required: Essential: A current full UK driving licence and willingness to operate the organisation's vehicles, including vans and tipper transits. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Experience operating cleaning machinery and equipment. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors across all seasons. Physical capability to fulfil manual duties. Previous experience in a similar role or environment. Desirable: NVQ qualification or equivalent in cleaning or Environmental Services, or a willingness to obtain such during the probationary period.
