Job title: Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors Location: Guildford and surrounding Surrey (Woking, Godalming, Cranleigh, Farnham) Contract type: Temporary — day-to-day & long-term assignments Working pattern: Full-time / flexible, term time Rate of pay: Competitive daily rates, dependent on role and experience, paid weekly, PAYE, no umbrella company Start date: Immediate start, ongoing opportunities Flexible TA and cover supervisor work across Guildford schools, weekly pay, and a consultant who actually knows your name. First Call Education is recruiting teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) and cover supervisors for mainstream and SEND settings in Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area. Teaching Assistant — what you'll do Provide one-to-one and small group support in class. Support pupils' learning and wellbeing under the direction of the class teacher. Cover full classes where HLTA-level experience applies. Cover Supervisor — what you'll do Supervise classes in the absence of the usual teacher, delivering work set by the class teacher rather than new lessons. Keep pupils engaged, on task and learning where appropriate. Maintain strong classroom behaviour and school standards. Feed back to teaching staff on the lesson and any issues. Who we want to hear from Experienced Teaching Assistants and HLTAs (Level 2 or 3 TA qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience; SEND experience an advantage, not essential). Confident Cover Supervisors with the ability to hold a full class (no TA qualification required). Enhanced DBS check with children's barred list (or willing to obtain one). You must have the existing right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
