KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

Christ Church Hanham CE Primary is a school committed to enabling all children to flourish. We are recruiting for a Teaching Partner to join our nurturing school and provide tailored support to a pupil in year 3. This post will primarily be 121 support but there will also be an element of group support, both within and outside of the classroom, to enable pupils to learn effectively. Applicants will need to have a sound understanding of SEMH and be able to use co-regulation strategies during class learning as well as unstructured times. The applicant must be able to build positive and mutually respectful relationships with children, whilst having high expectations of learning. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team member who is passionate about nurturing pupils to learn effectively so that they can grow and flourish as successful young people. Previous experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs is desirable. We are looking for candidates who have particular skills in one or more of the following areas: Social, Emotional and Mental Health An understanding of EYFS and KS1 curriculum The successful candidate will require a good standard of education. Prior experience of working in a primary school setting is preferred.  Appropriate training and access to relevant CPD will be provided for the successful candidate.
