SEND Pod Teacher

SEND Pod Teacher Join our dedicated team and make a real difference to the lives of pupils with SEND. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and caring Class Teacher to join our school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about providing high-quality education and creating positive learning experiences for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Class Teacher, you will teach a class of up to 8 pupils with SEND within a Key Stage, providing engaging, personalised and appropriately challenging learning experiences that meet each pupil’s individual academic, social and emotional needs. The successful candidate will be working with a SEND pod, working with up to 8 children who have EHCPs Band 5. You will be fully supported with some Learning Support Assistants and there is also a SEND Pod Manager. The Pod is brand new and full equipped including a sensory room, intervention room, and wonderful outdoor facilities. There will also be access to a Forest school and the extensive school grounds. Salary: M3 - M6 currently £37,100 - £45,352 FTE Plus SEN Allowance Contract: Full time, permanent Closing Date: 30th September 2026 Interviews: TBC Start Date: Readiness for January 2027 The Role You will be responsible for: Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs of all pupils. Setting clear and achievable learning targets based on pupils’ prior attainment. Using formative and summative assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning. Creating a stimulating, inclusive and well-organised classroom where pupils can develop confidence and independence. Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive and purposeful learning environment. Maintaining accurate records of pupils’ progress, attainment and development. Communicating effectively with parents, carers and relevant professionals about pupils’ progress and needs. Working collaboratively with external agencies and specialist professionals to support pupils’ development. Leading, organising and directing teaching assistants and other support staff within the classroom. Working positively with colleagues and contributing to effective team building across teaching and non-teaching staff. Participating in meetings, professional development, appraisal and wider school activities. Supporting school initiatives and implementing agreed policies and procedures. Contributing to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school. We Are Looking For We are seeking a teacher who: Is passionate about working with children and young people with SEND.
