Integrated Workforce Team Member

As an Integrated Workforce Team Member, you'll play a hands-on role in protecting and maintaining some of Wales' most important environmental and flood risk assets. Working across a variety of sites, you'll carry out practical maintenance activities on NRW-managed land and infrastructure, using specialist tools, equipment and machinery including chainsaws, mowers and woodchippers. You'll work as part of a skilled team, following technical plans and industry regulations to deliver high-quality work safely and effectively. No two days are the same, with opportunities to operate plant and machinery, support construction and maintenance activities, and contribute directly to the resilience of local communities and natural environments. As part of NRW's Category 1 emergency response capability, you'll also join a standby rota, providing vital support during incidents and severe weather events when your work can make a real difference. Driving is essential to this role as this is a field-based role. You will be required to travel to a variety of sites in the area using NRW vehicles and you will be required to tow trailers and plant items to/from site. As part of an out of hours rota, you will be required to drive to environmental incidents at all hours. As part of our emergency response service, you'll need to live within a 45-minute journey of the site so you're able to provide timely support during incidents and emergency situations. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable working pattern will be agreed on appointment.
