Learning Support Assistant - Oxford Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with additional needs? A Secondary SEN School in Oxford is seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers who want to build valuable, hands-on experience working with students with a variety of special educational needs. As a Learning Support Assistant , you will: Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with SEN. Help students develop confidence, independence, and active participation in learning. Work alongside teachers to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the school day. Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development. We're looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is: Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people. A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN. Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology or education. Able to build strong, positive relationships with both students and colleagues. Proactive, adaptable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment.
