Catering Assistant Job Title: Catering Assistant Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 2:00pm Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour About the Role We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to support a Chef within a busy catering environment. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent teamwork, attention to hygiene standards and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food. Supporting the Chef with basic food preparation tasks. Maintaining and replenishing salad and fruit bars. Serving food to customers in a friendly and professional manner. Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment. Assisting with general kitchen duties and cleaning tasks. Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed at all times. Candidate Requirements Previous catering, kitchen, or food service experience is desirable but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Good understanding of cleanliness and food hygiene practices. Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions. Dress Code Black trousers Black top Black shoes Hair must be tied back No jewellery to be worn Additional Information Photo ID and Right to Work documentation will be required. A brief health and safety induction/risk assessment will be completed on the first day.
