Operations Coordinator (Permanent) Location: Cheadle Hulme, Stockport SK8 Salary: Up to £29,000 + BONUS Are you confident on the phone, calm under pressure, and great at keeping people informed? Join a busy transport business as an Operations Coordinator. This permanent role is ideal if you enjoy being the key link between customers, drivers, and the Operations Team-helping day-to-day transport run smoothly and professionally. What you'll be doing: * Answering and placing calls with customers, drivers, and internal colleagues * Updating and monitoring transport jobs and service information using internal computer systems * Coordinating collections, deliveries, route updates, and overall job progress with drivers * Delivering clear, timely delivery updates and communicating any operational changes * Managing customer expectations when timings or requirements shift * Supporting the team with day-to-day operational challenges, including troubleshooting and escalation where needed * Keeping accurate records and notes in company systems * Providing general administration and operational support What you'll bring: * A friendly, professional telephone manner and strong communication/listening skills * The ability to negotiate practical solutions while staying calm and respectful * Strong organisation and attention to detail, even in a fast-moving environment * Comfort with learning and using computer systems quickly * A positive, flexible, team-focused attitude (previous transport/logistics or customer service experience is a plus) Additional information: * Working hours: 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break) * Start: Immediate start available Working in serviced modern offices with gym and showers onsite!
