Job Description: Mobile Crane Hire Desk Manager As a Mobile Crane Hire Desk Manager at Baldwins Crane Hire Ltd, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of our mobile crane rental services. Your expertise in organisation, communication, and customer service will ensure smooth execution and efficient delivery of our crane hire solutions to clients across the UK. This role is based at our Newport Depot. Key Responsibilities: Customer Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients inquiring about mobile crane rentals. Understand their requirements, advise on suitable crane options, and provide accurate quotations based on crane availability, rental duration, and other factors. Scheduling and Dispatching: Efficiently schedule and allocate cranes based on client requests and project timelines. Coordinate with crane operators to ensure timely and safe dispatch of equipment to client sites. Documentation and Contracts: Prepare rental contracts and documentation, ensuring all terms, conditions, and safety regulations are clearly outlined and agreed upon by both the company and clients. Logistical Support: Coordinate transportation logistics, ensuring the delivery and pick-up of cranes are arranged in a timely and cost-effective manner. Equipment Maintenance: Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all cranes are well-maintained, serviced, and inspected regularly. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations during crane operations and rentals. Coordinate with the Health and Safety team to implement best practices. Problem-Solving: Address any operational issues or challenges that may arise during crane hire, taking prompt action to find solutions and minimise disruptions to client projects.
