SEND Teacher

The Greville Primary School has received funding to set up its own Inclusion Hub, The Bridge. It is designed to support a small number of children who find the demands of a main stream classroom more demanding. The Bridge supports pupils whose learning, communication, social, emotional or developmental needs may require a more personalised approach at certain times. Working flexibly alongside mainstream provision, The Bridge delivers targeted support that helps children develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve success within the wider school environment. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, and highly effective part time or full-time teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive teaching and learning to join our highly supportive and friendly team.  The position is fixed term until August 2027 (if funding is extended the contract could be extended) the role is not suitable for ECTs The successful candidate will: • work under the leadership and guidance of the Inclusion Leader • have an excellent understanding and knowledge of inclusion in order to meet the needs of children with differing needs. • need to be flexible with regards to the curriculum and how the provision is organised • work closely with a small team of learning assistants • work closely with class teachers to plan, coordinate and review provision for individual children/small groups • assess and monitor children’s progress against planned outcomes and provide feedback to teachers, leaders and parents • ensure that children receive the support they need to make strong progress academically, socially and emotionally As the role is quite bespoke, we highly recommend visits to the school in order for prospective candidates to discuss this further with the Inclusion Leader, Alex Williams.
