Job DescriptionBased at Meffan Museum, 20 West High Street, Forfar. Do you enjoy practical, hands-on work and have an interest in museums, galleries, exhibitions or heritage? ANGUSalive is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Exhibition Technicians on a supply basis to support the installation, maintenance and de-installation of exhibitions across our museums, galleries and community venues throughout Angus. Working as part of our Museums, Galleries & Archives team, you will assist with the safe handling, transportation and display of artworks, museum objects and exhibition materials. You will also help maintain exhibition spaces, undertake basic repairs and support the delivery of high-quality visitor experiences. About the Role - Key responsibilities include: Installing and de-installing museum, gallery, and visual art exhibitionsSafely unpacking, packing and transporting artworks and collection objectsMoving display cases, exhibition panels and related equipmentCarrying out general maintenance tasks, including painting, cleaning, basic carpentry and exhibition lighting adjustmentsMaintaining clean, welcoming and professional exhibition environmentsWorking safely in accordance with health and safety procedures About You - We are looking for individuals who: Have a flexible and positive approach to workCan follow instructions and work effectively as part of a teamHave good awareness of health and safety proceduresUnderstand safe manual handling practicesCan act as a positive ambassador for ANGUSalive Please note interviews will be held Wednesday, 07 October 2026.RequirementsPlease refer to job outline and person specification for further details and requirements for this job.The IndividualWe offer a guaranteed job interview to the following people who meet the essential criteria on application for a job: Those with disabilities, recognised caring responsibilities and care experienced young people.
