Your new role As Communications Officer, you will support and deliver communications and public-affairs activity across PR, marketing, advocacy, media relations, digital channels and stakeholder engagement. You will develop targeted news stories and content, manage day-to-day social-media activity, build productive media and partner relationships, produce digital and print materials, and shape clear messages for senior leaders and diverse external audiences. What you'll need to succeed A relevant third-level qualification plus at least one year’s relevant full-time equivalent experience, or at least two years’ relevant full-time equivalent experience without that qualification route. Direct experience in a press office, PR agency, editorial team or comparable communications environment involving media relations. Evidence of producing communications for diverse audiences and managing social, digital and web content. A practical understanding of how to position, time and target news stories to generate quality coverage. Evidence of building productive media networks and external partnerships. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear messages. What you'll get in return You will receive a salary equivalent of £37,694 for a 37-hour week, working Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:30 to 16:30. The temporary contract will run for three months, with the possibility of an extension. Hybrid working is normally two days in the office and three days at home.
