Site Agent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor to appoint an experienced Site Agent for a high-profile Thames Water pipeline infrastructure project based in South East London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major framework delivery team on a long-term, critical infrastructure scheme. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, to budget, and to the highest technical standards. Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Duties As the Site Agent, you will be the primary point of contact on-site, overseeing the technical and operational delivery of the pipeline installation. Your daily duties will include: Site Management: Directing and coordinating site activities, including the management of direct labour and sub-contractors to ensure efficient workflow. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all site operations strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as Thames Water's specific site safety protocols. Technical Delivery: Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the pipeline is installed in accordance with design requirements and quality standards. Progress Reporting: Monitoring daily progress against the construction programme, reporting on productivity, and identifying potential risks or delays to the Project Manager. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with local stakeholders, utility providers, and client representatives to ensure minimal disruption and effective communication throughout the works. Resource Management: Coordinating the delivery and allocation of materials, plant, and equipment to ensure the site is fully resourced at all times. Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining rigorous quality assurance (QA) processes, including the completion of site records, test results, and inspection reports. Team Leadership: Providing mentorship and technical guidance to site engineers and junior s
