WHITCHURCH HIGH SCHOOL PENLLINE ROAD, CARDIFF, CF14 2XJ Year 7 – 11 - 2,200 6TH FORM - 480 Headteacher : Nick John TEACHING ASSISTANT POST - Full Time Temporary Contract Salary Scale: Grade 5 (32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks) Grade 5, SCP 11 – 19 (£20,759 - £24,188 actual salary) Appointment of a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant – Whitchurch High School We are seeking to appoint a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant to join Whitchurch High School. This is a temporary position for this academic year, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising the school's Restore then Return (RTR) provision, supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, engage positively with their education and successfully reintegrate into lessons. Applicants will need: • The ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and promoting high expectations, inclusion and engagement. • Strong skills in supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour reflection, particularly in a restorative or reintegration-focused setting. • Experience of monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the evaluation of interventions and support strategies.
