Job Description

You’ll probably remember our books from your school days (or at least the cheesy jokes), but did you know that CGP’s a hugely successful business, employing almost 300 brilliant people? If you’re a graduate who’s up for a challenge and want to kick start your career with a market leader, come and join us on a paid internship on the edge of the beautiful Lake District. You’ll be coordinating the design of our products to keep everything looking on brand and brilliant, as well as getting involved in other fast-paced and varied projects. You’ll be a real team player with great communication skills and have an eye for what looks good — all while being super organised. And the best part is, we’ll teach you everything you need to know! While this internship is likely to be around 6 to 12 months, many have done so well during their internship that they’ve been offered permanent roles. So who knows... for the right candidate, this could be the first step in a fantastic career at CGP! As a CGP intern you’ll: - work for a hugely successful, growing company with a turnover of c.£40m/year - be based at one of our attractive offices on the edge of the beautiful Lake District National Park - join a company that’s committed to supporting and investing in our local community - enjoy all the benefits of our unique company environment — just watch our video to find out more! And in return, we’ll expect you to work to our incredibly high standards, as well as taking ownership of and having immense pride in your work. CGP is the UK’s No.1 educational publisher. Our instantly recognisable products are used in over 90% of schools and are consistent bestsellers. With well over 1400 titles, from primary to adult learning, we’re the market leader. Based in the beautiful Lake District, CGP is independently owned and happy to be different. We handle almost every stage of the publishing process in-house, from product development, editing and design to marketing, customer service and shipping. That’s why we take our recruitment seriously, only employing the very best people.
