Job Title: After-School Nanny Job Details: Days & Hours Required: Monday to Friday 3:15pm–7:15pm | 20 hours per week Start Date: October – flexible for the right candidate Location: Hammersmith Ages of Children: 5.5-year-old boy. The family also has a 9-month-old baby, although the nanny will not have responsibility for the baby as part of this role. Salary: £23–£25 gross per hour Driver: Not essential, although a driver would be a bonus as having someone able to drive approximately once per week could be useful. Overview: A lovely family based in Hammersmith is looking for a caring, energetic and committed After-School Nanny for their 5.5-year-old son. The nanny will collect him from school in Notting Hill, travelling home by bus. The journey is approximately 40 minutes door-to-door, so the family is looking for someone comfortable managing the commute and making the journey an enjoyable part of his afternoon. They would love to find someone who can become a consistent and positive presence in their son's life and is genuinely looking for a long-term position. The ideal nanny will be able to provide a lovely balance between supporting his academic development and homework while also recognising that he is an energetic young boy who benefits from plenty of physical activity, sports and engaging play. Duties: School pick-ups in Notting Hill and travelling home by bus, supporting homework and reading, helping him prepare and organise his belongings for the following school day, planning engaging activities, encouraging physical play and sports, preparing healthy meals, managing his afternoon and early evening routine, children's laundry, and keeping children's belongings and areas organised and tidy. The focus will be on keeping him engaged and stimulated while providing a good balance between his academic responsibilities, play and physical activities. Skills and other requirements: Previous nanny experience with school-aged children Excellent English French speaker a bonus, but not required Caring, warm and engaging Energetic and genuinely enjoys being active with children Confident supporting homework and academic development Able to balance learning with sports, play and physical activities Confident preparing children's meals Driver a bonus, but not essential Reliable and committed to a long-term position M - KLW6
