Your new company Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation with a strong global presence, recognised for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Purchasing Administrative Assistant to join their Operations team and support the day-to-day activities of the purchasing and material planning function. Your new role As a Purchasing Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the Purchasing department, helping to ensure materials and services are procured efficiently and delivered on time. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, monitoring supplier orders, managing departmental reports, and maintaining accurate internal databases. You will also assist with processing packing lists for ocean shipments, coordinating with internal departments, managing supplier communications, and carrying out general administration duties to support the wider Operations team. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous administration experience, ideally within a purchasing, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operations environment. You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook, is essential. You will be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across departments and with suppliers. A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment will also be key.
