Interim Financial Accountant | 4-Month Contract Bath (Hybrid) £25-£30 per hour depending on experience/ qualification September-December 2026 ⏰ Interviews next week I'm currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant to join a large, complex organisation during a critical year-end and audit period. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and working within a busy financial accounts environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the preparation of annual statutory financial statements Managing and coordinating external audit requests and audit deliverables Reviewing and implementing accounting policies, with a focus on FRS102, lease accounting and revenue recognition Supporting financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and year-end activities Working closely with the Financial Accounts Team Leader to ensure a successful year-end reporting cycle We're keen to speak with candidates who have: ✅ Recent statutory reporting experience within a large or complex organisation ✅ Strong technical financial accounting knowledge ✅ Experience supporting external audit processes ✅ Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail ✅ Experience preparing reconciliations, working papers and technical accounting papers ✅ A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to operate independently when required This role has been created to provide additional support during a particularly busy reporting and audit period and would suit an experienced Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Reporting Accountant or Audit-trained qualified accountant looking for their next interim assignment.
