Job Description

Finance Assistant Role Overview We are looking for a Finance Assistant to provide day-to-day support across a busy finance function. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will assist with transactional finance activities, month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple areas of finance, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a supportive and growing business environment. Key Responsibilities Process sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion Match invoices and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding queries Perform supplier statement reconciliations Manage finance-related queries and liaise with stakeholders across the business Support the setup and maintenance of customer and supplier records Process employee expenses and company card transactions Maintain accurate financial records and ensure correct coding of transactions Assist with process improvement initiatives and wider finance projects Provide support to colleagues across the finance team as required Contribute to month-end activities and reporting processes Requirements Previous experience within a transactional finance or accounts role Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data Good attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification would be advantageous Experience using finance or ERP systems is beneficial Eagerness to learn and develop within a broad finance position
