Job Description

Estimator Location: Oldham Job Type: Full-time Annual Salary: £55K - £65K (depending on experience) We are seeking an Estimator to manage and maintain full control of the pre-construction process from the issuance of tender documents until the tender has been awarded. This role involves a detailed understanding of each stage of the tender process and requires proactive engagement with various team members and stakeholders. Day-to-day of the role: Tender Stage: Review all tender documentation and arrange launch meetings to present initial tender thoughts. Provide a summary of tender return requirements and engage with the design team and client as required. Produce all bills of quantities using Conquest software and engage with the supply chain to send out compliant enquiries. Undertake site visits to assess constraints and logistics, and prepare for and attend mid-tender meetings to present the status of the tender. Collaborate with the Contracts Manager on project programming, technical design solutions, and logistics plans. Work with the Procurement Manager on material products and contribute to the health and safety elements with the HS&E Director. Produce a detailed and compliant tender for review and ensure all necessary forms are completed for submission. Estimator's Handover Stage: Prepare and present the estimate to the Build Team, providing all necessary supporting documentation and responding to any queries. Pre-Construction/Design/Mobilisation Period: Provide timely responses to any questions raised by the build team or external parties. Construction Stage: Continue to support the build team with timely responses throughout the construction phase. Handover and Defects Period Stage: Ensure ongoing support and responses during the handover and defects period.
