Teaching Assistant (Supporting SEN and Medical Needs)

At Knowle Park Primary School, we are looking for 2x resilient, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support classroom learning. You will be passionate about working with our children and making a difference, especially to those children with Special Educational Needs and possibly complex medical needs . A commitment to working across all the Key Stages is essential. We have 2x roles available and they will be in the following year groups: Role 1: Reception and Year 5 Role 2: Reception Teaching Assistant Work Pattern: Mon to Fri, Term Time Only Hours: Full Time (30 Hours) Contract: Fixed Term (until August 2027) Pay Scale: BG5, SCP04 - 05 (£26,016 - £26,427) to be pro-rata'd Start Date: As soon as possible Closing Date: 21 September 2026 at 08.00am Interview Date: 28 or 29 September 2026 We are looking for someone: With a passion and commitment to children from all backgrounds achieving their potential Someone willing to fully support children with complex medical needs and SEN Reliability and good organisation skills An understanding of the National Curriculum Willing to undertake training to best support the children in their care Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team We can offer you: A happy and successful school Dedicated staff with a great team spirit Friendly, well behaved children Supportive parents and Governors To apply, please complete an application form and also write a letter of application stating your skills and experience and why you would be suitable for the job.
