A warm and fully staffed household is seeking an experienced, professional, and adaptable live-in nanny/governess to join their childcare team. The role will focus primarily on the care, education, and overall development of four girls aged 3, 5, 8, and 9 years old. The family is looking for someone with strong knowledge of the British Curriculum, who can confidently support school-aged children academically while creating a nurturing, engaging, and well-structured environment. This is a long-term opportunity ideally suited to an experienced nanny, governess, or education-focused childcare professional who enjoys working within a collaborative, team-oriented household. Overview - Start Date: ASAP start, though the family can be flexible for the right candidate - Four children: Girls aged 3, 5, 8, and 9 years old The Role The nanny/governess’ main responsibility will be supporting the children’s daily routines, educational progress, and overall wellbeing. The successful candidate will be confident in: - Supporting the children’s academic learning and school progress - Working in line with the British Curriculum - Assisting with homework, reading, and educational development - Creating engaging, age-appropriate learning opportunities beyond the classroom - Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive routines Whilst the girls are at school, the nanny will work collaboratively alongside the family’s other nanny, providing support with the younger children and contributing to the smooth running of the childcare team. The family is seeking someone proactive, organised, flexible, and genuinely invested in children’s educational and personal development. Duties - Child-focused care and educational support for the three girls - Homework assistance and British Curriculum support - Planning engaging educational, creative, and developmental activities - Supporting school routines, organisation, and academic milestones - Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence - Supporting the other nanny with the younger children during school hours - Assisting during family travel - Light children’s laundry/organisation while travelling only Please note: - No cooking or housekeeping duties required Candidate Requirements - Strong experience with school-aged children - Excellent knowledge and understanding of the British Curriculum - Background in childcare, teaching, tutoring, governess work, or education - Confident supporting academic development, homework, and learning goals - Team player who works well alongside another nanny and household staff - Flexible and adaptable, particularly regarding travel and changing schedules - Comfortable working within a fully staffed household environment - Driver preferred, though not essential Schedule - 12-hour days - 5 days per week Accommodation & Package - Live-in accommodation provided - Private apartment.
