Location: Hammersmith & Fulham Salary: £22 per hour plus van & fuel Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5 About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our busy Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance team. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties. You will work directly in residents homes, so a professional attitude, good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter looking for secure, long-term employment within the social housing sector. Key Responsibilities Carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance and void property works. Complete a wide range of carpentry and joinery repairs, including: Doors, frames and locks Skirting boards and architraves Flooring and floorboards Kitchens and units Repairs to timber structures and fixtures General carpentry and joinery works Assess defects and determine the appropriate repair or replacement. Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Complete repairs within agreed timescales and in accordance with company procedures. Provide a professional and respectful service to residents. Maintain accurate records, job sheets and materials information. Work safely and comply with all relevant health and safety requirements. Liaise with supervisors, residents, colleagues and other trades as required. Keep tools, equipment and vehicles clean, secure and well maintained. About You The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience as a Carpenter within property maintenance, social housing or a similar environment. A recognised carpentry/joinery qualification or equivalent experience. Strong practical skills and excellent attention to detail. Experience carrying out responsive repairs in occupied properties.
