Buyer Warrington Civils & Groundworks Sector Salary: Region of 50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Our client is a well-established Civils & Groundworks contractor delivering projects across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction buyer or procurement professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and growing business. Experience purchasing construction materials is essential, while training can be provided on aggregate and plant procurement. The Role As Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting operational teams by sourcing and procuring materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring projects are supplied efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities Procuring construction materials for ongoing projects Obtaining quotations and negotiating best value with suppliers Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships Managing purchase orders and delivery schedules Monitoring material costs and market trends Supporting site teams with procurement requirements Assisting with aggregate and plant hire procurement (full training available) Maintaining accurate procurement records and reporting Requirements Previous buying or procurement experience within construction Strong knowledge of construction materials Excellent negotiation and communication skills IT proficient with strong Microsoft Office skills Comfortable working with procurement software and digital systems Positive attitude towards technology and AI-assisted processes Willingness to learn new systems and ways of working Strong organisational skills and attention to detail What's on Offer?
