Job Description - Painter Job Title: Painter Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and other finishes, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other surfaces for painting. Clean, sand, fill, repair, and prime surfaces as required. Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other protective or decorative finishes. Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely and effectively. Mix and match paints and colours according to specifications. Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas from paint and damage. Inspect completed work and correct any defects, uneven finishes, or imperfections. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition. Follow health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Work efficiently while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards. Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, clients, and other contractors. Carry out other painting and decorating duties as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Painter or Painter & Decorator preferred. Good knowledge of painting, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
